VAMPS/DONS CHALLENGE WINTER 23/24

1. DISTANCE CHALLENGE – ski the trails (not in one day) _____ Quigley (bronze)

_____ All of the above (platinum)
2. TECHNIQUE CHALLENGE – each part in 1 day
_____ skate V2 or classic double pole around Durrance once (bronze) _____ skate V2 or classic double pole around Durrance twice (silver) _____ skate V2 or classic double pole around Durrance 3 times (gold)
AND (skate or classic)
_____ double pole from SNRA to 5k bridge, turn around, no pole return. 10k total (bronze) _____ double pole from SNRA to 10k marker, turn around, no pole return. 20k total (silver) _____ double pole from SNRA to 15k Baker Ck, turn around, no pole return. 30k total (gold)
3. VOLUNTEER CHALLENGE: VAMPS/DONS are a big part of our community, help out at one or more: _____ BMT, IngaLami, Ski the Rails, Races at Lake Creek, etc
4. DO AN EVENT CHALLENGE: Ski in one of the following:
______ Winterstart, Teton Ridge Classic, IngaLami, Prairie Ck Classic, Ski the Rails, Stanley festival etc
5. BALANCE CHALLENGE: Work on your balance once a week:
_____ Stand on one leg for one minute each side. Work up to doing it with your eyes closed, then try 2 min! _____ Improve your hockey stops. 10x
_____ Improve your downhills and corners. Skate a downhill corner that challenges you 10x or classic in the tracks a corner that challenges you 10x
6. EXTRA CREDIT
_____ Ski with a more advanced skier
_____ Ski with a less advanced skier (learn anything?)
_____ Dress up and ski, send a pic to info@galenalodge.com
_____ Full moon or night ski, send a pic to info@galenalodge.com
_____ Hike up (skis or spikes) to Roundhouse, fondue? hot toddy?
_____ Have an aha moment? Take a pic of you and a coach, send to info@galenalodge.com
